Programmer Studio provides the ideal Windows-based editor for HPe3000 (HP3000, MPE) server development using any of the major HPe3000 (HP3000, MPE) languages; COBOL, FORTRAN, Pascal, SPL, Powerhouse, RPG, Business Basic, CI command files, etc.

Combining a professional code editor with syntax awareness, support for highlighting errors from any native HPe3000 (HP3000, MPE) compiler and interactive COBOL debugging using either XDB or CCS/TRAX, Programmer Studio editor provides all the features an experienced MPE developer could need.

Programmer Studio actively uses FTP in conjunction with a remote TELNET session to bring together your existing tools, compilers, debuggers, etc. into a single IDE. This is done without replacing any of your existing software or requiring any new software to be installed on the server, which affords new users the luxury of using to their native server-based applications at any point.

For enhanced HPe3000 (HP3000, MPE) support, Programmer Studio also includes custom server software, WTRSH, to provide support for all native MPE files (including SPOOL files, COPYLIB modules, fixed and variable binary files) and even Robelle Qedit ® files.

Unlike similar Windows-based server development solutions, Programmer Studio is not limited by programming language. The syntax aware code editor provides support for almost any programming language or file type you may encounter including C/C++, Java, perl, python, HTML & XML documents, you name it. Integrated debugging and error highlighting (using the syntax check –c flag) is also available for Perl.
